NLO22: Being Too Open And Not Compact Led To Conceding A Goal According To Lekki United’s Defender, Adejuwon

Despite leading for over 80 minutes, Lekki United conceded a goal when visitors, Metropolitan FC broke the defense to reduce the deficit in the 2-1 win to start the second half of the 2022 Nationwide League One Division One season.

Lekki United’s defender, Adejuwon Natit, blamed the goal on a lack of compactness and tiredness when speaking with Sports247.

“It was due to openness and not being compact. The game situation caused us to be open with a little tiredness,” he said.

Speaking on the win generally, the lad attributed it to the coach and his training methods and removing fear from within them.

“We trained very well to win and be champions, it has a lot to do with our coach, that was the key,” he said.

“We had to build our courage, try not to be afraid, and do what we know how to do best, which is to play football,” Adejuwon added.
