NLO2: Indian Player Debuts For Liqui Moly FC in NLO2, says “The NLO2 Is a Difficult League”

In what is said to be another record after the fastest goal in the league set by the team’s striker Chidera Olisaegbo, Liqui Moly FC was played the first international player in the league in a bid to secure qualification into the NLO Division One.

Souma Das, an Indian-born and brought up player, with experience playing in the top league in India played a part in the team’s win to secure a playoff final ticker against Robo FC being the first player to play in the Nigerian League from India.

“It’s lovely to be here. Nigeria is a very vast country as regards the world cup. Football is good here as the coaches and teams are very competitive. My coaches always give me support to play and we work very hard as Colin Edwin FC and Liqui Moly FC and we’re doing very good,” Souma Das said.

“We played the playoff in the NLO Division one as Colin Edwin, now we play it here too as Liqui Moly. I’m very lucky to be here and I thank my coaches Coach Uche and Azuka. I’m also thankful to the president of the club as I’m very happy to be here,” Shanwadash said.

The player whose manager John Chinedu, deals with Nigerian and Indian players with many Nigerian players going to play in the Indian league and doing well. Souma Das says being the first player to come here from India is just like him giving an “opposite direction fight” as regards Nigerian players going to India and doing well.

“We’re having the playoff tomorrow and we hope people will support us. Shanwadash said. “The NLO2 is a very difficult team. Every team and players are good and no one takes it lightly. The technique and tactics are also on display and I think that’s why we’re beginning to see African players dominate and do well in Europe and over the world. The infrastructure is good and they’re trying their best. The players never say NO to their coach as to not taking instruction and working and that’s something I love about this place,” he concluded.
