The Nationwide League One (NLO) has issued a firm directive to all participating clubs, mandating registration on its newly introduced digital portal ahead of the 2026 season.
In an official notice released on Tuesday , the league body emphasized that all clubs must complete their registration on or before April 13, 2026, describing the process as compulsory and non-negotiable.
According to the statement, any club that fails to meet the stipulated deadline will be barred from participating in the 2026 campaign.
The league further disclosed that the upgraded NLO registration portal has been configured with automated features that will not accept late entries beyond the deadline.
“This serves as an important notice regarding the registration of all clubs on the new NLO portal.
It has become imperative that each club ensures their registration is completed on or before April 13, 2026,” the statement read.
The league stressed that strict adherence to the directive is essential to ensure a smooth and credible organization of the competition, urging clubs to act promptly.
The 2026 NLO season is scheduled to kick off on April 10, 2026, with the season opener 1between Flight FC and NYSC FC at the McCarthy Stadium.
This season edition remains the stadium league format in which matches will be played across designated neutral venues nationwide. The competition is expected to feature over 300 clubs divided into multiple groups.
In line with its modernization drive, the NLO has also introduced a revamped digital infrastructure, including a new website, enhanced data management systems, and AI-powered match coverage tools.
The league body concluded by calling for full cooperation from all stakeholders, noting that timely registration is crucial to the successful execution of the upcoming season.
