A late second-half strike by Chinedu Okeke was more than enough for NLO division one side, FC Solid Unit to qualify for the final of the Plateau State FA NLO preseason football tournament, beating a youthful and compact NLO division three side, Maichibi United FC of Pankshin, 1-0.
In the second semi-final match played same Tuesday at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium, NLO division one side, Vom Vet Rovers FC needed the lottery of penalties to oust a youthful and delightful playing NLO division three side, Buzhu FC 5-3 on penalties after the regulation time score ended goalless.
This preseason tournament is organized by the Plateau State Football Association to prepare NLO teams on the Plateau for their playoffs in different States of the federation; while the duo of Mighty Jets Feeders and Vom Vet Rovers will battle for the promotion ticket in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital for NNL tickets, FC Solid will be in Bauchi, Bauchi State for the same purpose.
