NLO ONE: “Our Performance Was Not Up To Our Standard,” Laments Media Officer of Collin Edwin SC, Ken Maduabuchi

Losing your league opener can really rub off badly on a team but every team on the losing end has vowed to return stronger and Collin Edwin is one of those teams after losing 2-1 to Valiant FC who have been good in The Creative Championship League and Cup. Media Officer of Collin Edwin, Mr. Ken Maduabuchi while speaking to Sports247 explained that the lads tried but didn’t perform up to par.

“This is football and there is no indomitable team, there are always surprises when it comes to league football all over the world. It’s the first game of the season, our performance wasn’t up to standard but we’re looking forward to the next game in two days’ time to come out with a better outing. However, the boys did well playing under this scorching sun,” Mr Ken said.

Knowing fully well that Collin Edwin Sports Club is highly rated as far as the Nationwide League One is concerned and the team are poised and determined to keep that high rating in the coming game.

“Sure, it’s expected when you lose that you’re coming all out. We’re going to give our best in the next game to make sure we get the three points and keep our season going. But this is football and anything is possible, based on the ratings, people are expecting us to top the league and we shall give our best as the season just began and we have eight matches to go,” Ken said.

Collins Edwin Sports Club next face Cincinnati FC in their second NLO game tomorrow, Thursday 11th of March, 2021 at the same venue in Remo, Ogun State.
