It has been a mixture of good and bad for Collins Edwin but this time, they celebrate after a slim 1-0 win over Messiah FC in the fourth game of the Nationwide League One season, Ikenne Centre. Ezekiel Bala of Collin Edwin sat with Sports247 to describe the win.
“It was a good win, the goal was so amazing, we played well and we thank God for giving us the victory,” he said.
“My teammates did a very fantastic job and I’m dedicating the victory to God as well,” he added.
Collin Edwin sits second on the NNL Group B table, level on point with leaders First Bank FC and third place team Valiant FC, only separated by goal difference as all three teams have managed three wins and a loss in four games.
However, their chances of making it to the top are slim as the majority of the teams ahead of them are in top form. Nonetheless, Ezekiel feels he will always give his best anytime he goes to the pitch for his team.
