“Today’s game was better as the players had gained more confidence, with most of them being new to the team and I’m impressed with the team’s performance, as they were able to contain the opposing team despite the goal scored against them being against the run of play.”

He also mentioned that the team had identified the bold and shy players and would work on building from there.

“This game has shown me that they can play because this is the match I was afraid of. Asides from the well-taken free kick that nothing could be done about, the goal was scored against the run of play. I think we were able to contain them.”

“We created more chances than them of course but hard luck. From now on, we can build. We have identified those that are bold and those that are shy. So from the next matches, we should start counting our points.”

Coach Uchechukwu commended the team’s new players and mentioned that they were all doing well, even those playing for clubs within and outside Nigeria as he expressed confidence in the team’s ability to perform better once they become more confident.

Concluding, he states that he anticipates a tough season as even the weaker teams are improving.

However, he remains optimistic and believes that the team will start picking up points from the next matches and possibly win the remaining six matches.

“I am sure that going forward, we are going to pick our points, infact, we might win the remaining six matches by God’s grace.”
