Ibrahim Bala, captain of Lekki United was once again instrumental as his side seal thier fourth win of the season to maintain unbeaten run following the 4-0 demolishing of Buruj FC in the 2022/2023 NLO matchday four.
In an interview with Sports247.ng, Bala, the captain of Lekki United, shared his thoughts on their recent 4-0 victory against Buruj Sports.
“The team played exceptionally well, although we missed several chances that could have resulted into more goals,” he said.
When asked about their aspirations for promotion to NNL, Bala confirmed that the team is focused on winning all their games, staying at the top of their group, and avoiding losses, draws, or conceded goals.
In regards to their opponents, Bala acknowledged that they were a good team, but not the best they’ve faced.
He believes that they may have underestimated their opponents, resulting in missed opportunities to score more goals.
Bala concluded by expressing his confidence in the team’s ability to perform better in their next game and achieve a higher goal difference.
