This was contained in a press statement, signed, and made available to newsmen, by the Chairman, Office of the Nigeria Pillar of Sports (ONPS) Prince Ajide Olayioye, at its Ilorin (the Kwara State capital) corporate headquarters on Tuesday.

Muslim faithful across the globe had abstained from eating and drinking, from dawn to dusk, for the past one month – an annual religious rite that is one of the five pillars of Islam. Annually, after the 29 or 30 days of fasting, adherents of the islamic faith would cap the holy month with the celebration of the Eid El-Fitr festival to mark the end of fasting.

The Anambra-born sports Philanthropist, who is also the immediate past President of the Nigerian Karate Federation (KFN), admonishes muslims to continue with the acts of piety that they’ve imbibed during the holy months in their daily conducts, and interactions with fellow Nigerians, in accordance with the teachings of the holy Quran, and the sunnah of the Holy Prophet (SAW).

Chief Ejidike, therefore, pray that “may the Almighty Allah (SWT) accept the sscrifices as acts of Ibadah,” as he “enjoins Muslims not to relent in prayers for peace, progress, and unity of our dear country, Nigeria, at this critical moment of our nationhood.
