Nigeria’s fast-rising female Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) star, Winifred Peter is still relishing the experience she gained from her first international outing in Luanda, Angola, but disclosed that she has already turned her focus on the forthcoming world championship, Sports247 reports.
While disclosing that she also has plans to compete on the national level over the unfolding days, Peter added that the biggest target on her mind now is the World Mixed Martial Arts Championship that will take place in September.

The highly promising battling lass pointed out that she will use all the experience she gained during the Mixed Martial Arts Africa (MMAA) competition in Luanda to guide her through all the challenges ahead of her, as she aims to make her mark as the first Nigerian woman to compete in The Octagon.
Peter added, “The next step is for me to get ready for the world championship. From what I’ve seen, fighters from other African countries are not joking, and they are not playing around. They are all taking it very seriously.”
Peter further enthused that the experience she garnered in Luanda will help her weather the storm and scale through each tight situation, as she aims to pick up crucial victories in all her upcoming bouts, especially on the global stage.
“I learnt a lot from my last fight in Angola, and I’m not going to let it pass just like that. I have to make something good happen with it. So, for the next competition, I have to get ready.
“I have to get ready for the world game, which is coming up soon. After featuring in my nationals, I have to prepare for the world championship as well,” Peter affirmed
