Nigeria’s quartet for the 2026/27 CAF interclub competitions has been confirmed following the conclusion of the domestic football season, with Rangers International, Rivers United, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), and El-Kanemi Warriors set to fly the nation’s flag on the continental stage.
Sports247 reports that Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions Rangers International will lead the country’s challenge in the CAF Champions League, alongside Rivers United, who also secured qualification after an impressive league campaign.
In the CAF Confederation Cup, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) earned their place through their league finish, while El-Kanemi Warriors booked the second ticket after lifting the 2026 President Federation Cup with a 1-0 victory over Ikorodu City in the final.
The four clubs will now begin preparations for the new continental campaign, aiming to restore Nigeria’s status among Africa’s elite after recent seasons of mixed fortunes in CAF competitions.

Shooting Stars return to continental football with renewed ambition, and El-Kanemi Warriors will carry the confidence of their Federation Cup triumph into the Confederation Cup.
With expectations high among Nigerian football fans, the country’s representatives will be looking to challenge for honours and improve Nigeria’s standing in African club football during the 2026/27 season.
