Nigeria’s Blessing Oborodudu Honored As Wrestler Of The Month By World Wrestling

World Wrestling has named Blessing Oborodudu, a renowned Nigerian wrestler and African champion, as the Wrestler of the Month.

Oborodudu’s exceptional performance on the mat has garnered international recognition, including a record-breaking 13 African championships and an Olympic Silver medal.

On Friday, World Wrestling announced the selection, highlighting Oborodudu’s remarkable
achievements. Alongside her, American wrestler Amit Elor was also included in the list for
her outstanding performance, dominating her opponents with an impressive 36-0 victory en route to her first senior Pan-Am triumph.

Oborodudu’s latest triumph came in Tunisia, where she clinched the gold medal in the
women’s wrestling 68kg division. This victory marked her historic 13th African title, solidifying her reputation as one of the most successful wrestlers in the continent
