He highlighted the potential for golf as a lucrative career in Nigeria, stating, “With dedication, youngsters can make a decent income to live above the average populace, and even beyond.”

Ezebuiro emphasized that while some of the top 10 players in the Nigerian PGA’s ranking are comfortable, it requires hard work to become a professional golfer.

He noted, “Nigerians are naturally athletic, passionate, and goal-oriented,” adding that the PGA of Nigeria supports the Acropolis Golf Course project due to its potential to increase the number of young people exposed to professional golf.

Pamela Osanakpo, Communications Manager of Acropolis Golf and Resort, also spoke about the strategic partnership with the PGA of Nigeria.

She said, “Our relationship is a strategic alliance that will benefit the game of golf, the community, and the country.” She confirmed that top professionals in the country would participate in the opening 18-hole event.

Among the players listed to showcase their skills at the one-day event are Nigeria’s current number one player, Francis Epe of Ikoyi Club 1938, golf section, and former order of merit leaders, Oche Odoh, Mike Ubi, Gift Willy, and Olapade Sunday.
