Nigerian Taekwondo Top Two Land In South Korea

Two Nigerian taekwondo reigning champions, Elizabeth Anyanacho and Benjamin Okuomose have landed in South Korea for the first edition of an international training camp, sports247.ng gathered.

This much was disclosed by Nigeria Taekwondo Federation (NTF), which stated that Anyanacho and Okuomose are in Korea for the inaugural Taekwondowon International Training Camp.

A media statement by the NTF noted that 21-year-old heavyweight Okuomose and 19-year-old welterweight Anyanacho will be at the camp in Muju, South Korea along with the body’s technical director, Chika Chukwumerije from Tuesday, March 12 to the 28th of same month.

The NTF added that they are grateful to Korea’s embassy in Abuja, the hosts and Taekwondo Promotion Foundation for according the Nigerian body another avenue to further their priority and efforts of exposing the next generation competitors.

The Nigerian taekwondo body stated further that the camp would help to promote and improve the techniques and skills of the participants, before they head to the 2019 World Taekwondo Championship in May.

Benefits of the training camp also include professional master’s one-point lessons, joint training with Korea Elite Training teams, donation of taekwondo training materials plus receipt of souvenirs and certificate.
