Nigerian Table Tennis Team Eyes Olympic Qualification at Upcoming World Championships

Team Nigeria table tennis has been granted another opportunity to secure an Olympic Games slot when they face off against 39 other nations at the upcoming World Championships in Busan, Korea.

This comes after the team narrowly missed out on qualification during the African Championship, falling to Egypt in a closely contested match.

Nigeria is among the four African countries confirmed for the championship, joining Egypt, Algeria, and Tunisia in the female category.

The last time Nigeria table tennis team appeared in the Olympic Games team event was at the 2016 Rio Olympics, while Egypt represented Africa at the Tokyo 2020 Games.
