Nigerian striker Omewa Joy, who plays for Fortuna Hjørring in the Gjensidige Kvindeliga, has been voted the 2024–25 Danish Women’s League Player of the Season following a phenomenal campaign.
Joy finished the season as the league’s top scorer with 18 goals and was instrumental in helping Fortuna Hjørring secure both the league title and the Danish Women’s Cup.

Originally from Osun State, Nigeria, Joy moved to Denmark in 2021 and has since become one of the most feared forwards in the Danish women’s league. She has scored 39 goals in 71 appearances for Fortuna Hjørring, and her influence continues to grow each season.
