England-based Nigerian social media influencer, Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji (aka KSI) celebrated his recent purchase of lower division side, Dagenham & Redbridge with victory from his first game at the helm.
Sports247 gathered that Olatunji, who is also fondly called ‘JJ’ by admirers, was live in the stands and ended up filled with bolts of delight, as the East London side beat Dorking Wanderers 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.

It marked a bright start as club owner for the 32-year-old KSI, who is also a co-founding member of a YouTube group, Sidemen, as well as co-founder of Misfits Boxing and co-owner of Prime Hydration and Lunchly.
The victory came barely 72 hours after KSI announced that he had bought a stake in the National League South club and became a strategic partner in The Daggers’ board, whose fans gave him a rapturous reception as he arrived for the game.
Before entering the stands at Dagenham’s Victoria Road home ground, KSI, who was wearing a Daggers away shirt, posed for pictures and signed autographs, after which he sat next to former Liverpool striker, Andy Carroll in the VIP box.
Carroll, who joined Dagenham last summer as a player, but is currently injured, also holds minority shares in the club, hence his presence in the box with KSI, who gave the tall striker’s kids a selfie, while cameras focused on them all through.
A report by UK’s Daily Mail added, “The pair both celebrated wildly when Aramide Oteh scored the decisive goal in the second half, with the stream on YouTube having 220,000 views at the time of writing.
“The result saw the Daggers rise to 12th in the National League South, the sixth tier of English football, which is five promotions away from KSI’s stated desire of reaching the Premier League with the club.
“KSI’s impact was evident. The attendance for the match was 2,281, up more than 1,000 on last Saturday’s 2-0 home defeat by AFC Totton. KSI was announced as a co-owner of the club on Tuesday and attended their game on Saturday.”
