In a significant development for Nigerian football, the global football governing body, FIFA, has greenlit the inclusion of 30 Nigerian referees on its coveted international lists for the upcoming year, 2024.

This comprehensive approval encompasses a diverse array of officiating roles, featuring 11 referees, 11 assistant referees, four beach soccer referees, and four futsal referees.

Leading the contingent of Nigerian referees selected for international duty in 2024 are individuals of commendable expertise and experience.

The 11 referees entrusted with officiating responsibilities on the global stage include Basheer Salisu, Ogabor Odey Joseph, Olufunmilayo Abigael Alaba, Nurudeen Abubakar, Abdulsalam Kasimu Abiola, Elaigwe Hannah Enekole, Akintoye Yemisi Eunice, Egba Patrick John, Madu Ndidi Patience, Mustapha Grema Mohammed, and Abdullahi Abubakar.

Complementing this distinguished group, the 11 assistant referees named for international duty are Pwadutakam Samuel, Igudia Efosa Celestine, Abibatu Iyadunni, Muhammad Yakubu, Mfon Friday Akpan, Digbori Tejiri, Usman Abdulmajeed Olaide, Igho Hope Ogenekewe, Terah Kabenda Beauty, Ahmad Mustapha Tijjani, and Agbons Faith.
