Midfielder Mishel Nduka, who joined Arsenal U15 from Charlton Athletic earlier this year, featured prominently in the encounter and delivered a standout performance.

Calm and composed in possession, Nduka dictated the tempo from midfield, showing maturity beyond his age with neat distribution, intelligent positioning, and confidence on the ball as England controlled large spells of the game.

Defender Chetam Ezenwanta, currently on the books of Charlton Athletic, was named among the substitutes for the fixture.

Although he did not feature, his inclusion in the squad underlined his growing reputation within the England youth setup.

Ezenwanta previously represented Nigeria at the Bayern Youth Cup in Germany, where he played a key role in helping the Nigerian side lift the trophy, further highlighting his pedigree at youth level.

Football runs deep in the Ezenwanta family. Chetam’s elder brother, Chizzy Ezenwanta, recently represented England U17 at an international tournament in Qatar, reinforcing the family’s strong presence within elite youth football.

Following the match, both players shared a proud moment off the pitch as they posed for photographs with their father, capping a memorable day that celebrated talent, heritage, and progress.

The performances and involvement of Nduka and Ezenwanta continue to reflect the growing influence of Nigerian heritage players within Europe’s top youth systems, with both youngsters firmly on the radar as ones to watch for the future.
