Nigerian Goalkeeper Abdulmajid Mohammed Recharges for Breakout Season Kryvbas U19 in Ukrainian League

Nigerian goalkeeper Abdulmajid Mohammed says he is “recharging in full force” as he prepares for what he hopes will be a breakout season in the Ukrainian U19 League with Kryvbas U19.

The shot-stopper, who joined Kryvbas U19 earlier this year from Nigeria’s Golding Arrow Academy, has his sights set on becoming one of the top young goalkeepers in the league.

“I want to be the best goalkeeper in the league this season,” Mohammed said in an interview.

“Every match, every training session, I’m pushing myself to the limit.”

Mohammed, who made his debut shortly after arriving in Ukraine, has impressed coaches with his quick reflexes, leadership, and calm presence in goal. He’s one of three Nigerian players signed by Kryvbas during the spring registration window, marking a notable step in the club’s youth international development strategy.

Despite the challenges of adapting to a new culture and language, Mohammed says his focus remains clear. “It hasn’t been easy, but I’ve been welcomed well by the team. I’m learning fast, on and off the pitch.”

Kryvbas U19 staff have praised the young keeper for his discipline and professionalism, with some hinting at future involvement with the senior squad if he continues his strong performances.

“I’m proud to represent Nigeria here,” Mohammed added. “This is just the beginning.”

The Ukrainian U19 League resumes this month, with Kryvbas aiming for a strong campaign.

All eyes will be on Mohammed as he takes his position between the posts, fully charged and ready to deliver.
