Nigerian Football Coach, Fuja Eyes Nepal Coaching Job

A Nigerian born football coach,Tope Ayodeji Fuja has expressed interest to handle senior national football team of Nepal someday.

Fuja, who handled a first divsion club,Manang Marshyangdi FC of Nepal last season told sports 247.ng in Lagos that having worked in Asian country for some years,time has come for him to handle Nepal senior national team following his achievements in Nepal and India.

He explained that he had won several luarels and achieved in his coaching career in both counties.

He also revealed that he had won best coach award in Nepal 2018/2019 football season which made him popular in the country.

“I have a successful coaching career in India and Nepal.I achieved a lot when I moved to Nepal league.When I was in Dhangadhi FC in 2001, I took the club to the second position on the table in Nepal super league as a foreign coach.In 2020,I won Budda Subbah Gold Cup for MMC.I also won Rahhra Gold Cup in 2020 with the same club.I am well known in Nepal because of my achievements as a foreign coach,I had made my mark in Nepal league and I am aiming to coach Nepal senior national team someday,”said fuja who acquired his football certificates in Brazil, USA, England and India.

Asked if Nepal football ruling body offers him junior national team,Fuja said he would accept it and noted that Nepal football is fast growing in the Asian continent.

“Nepal football is fast growing so if Nepal football ruling body offers me to handle their junior national teams,I would accept it because I see future in Nepal football,” he said.

Former Peerless FC and Mohammedan Sporting FC of India warned Nigeria not to underrate Nepal if both countries clash in any category in FIFA organised football competitions saying that Nepal football league is attracting foreign players from Africa, Europe,Asia and American continent.

Before he left the shore of the country some years ago,Fuja handled Oasis Football Club of Lagos.
