Osula secured the award thanks to his stunning late winner against Manchester United, a decisive 90th-minute strike that captured the attention of fans and pundits alike.

The Nigeria-eligible forward emerged ahead of a competitive shortlist that featured Morgan Gibbs-White, Elliot Anderson, Iliman Ndiaye, Bernardo Silva, and John McGinn.

The accolade represents a landmark moment for Newcastle United, making Osula the club’s first Goal of the Month winner this season and the first since Alexander Isak achieved the feat in December 2024.

Meanwhile, Iwobi’s nomination came after his brilliant strike for Fulham against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Nigerian midfielder’s well-taken effort proved crucial in sealing victory and underlined his fine form.

Iwobi’s performances also earned him a place on the shortlist for the Premier League Player of the Month award, which was ultimately won by Bruno Fernandes following a string of standout displays.

Although he missed out on both honours, Iwobi continues to impress with his consistent contributions in the English top flight.
