Nigerian Cricket Federation hosts virtual training for coaches and Umpires

A perfect example of achieving success in this Corona virus pandemic driven time is the virtual capacity development organized by the Nigerian Cricket Federation for its coaches and Umpires.

The two days online capacity building gave coaches in the sport an opportunity to learn from national team (male and female) coaches,
Uthe Clive Ogbimi and Onome Oghenekevwe on day 1.

Day two saw the umpires learn from the facilitators for the day Olumide Akintokun and Enesi Habib who are both certified local and international umpires as they passed on knowledge to participants on the Duties of Umpires and The Playing Control Team (PCT) Code.

Reacting to the successful virtual training, The Technical Director of the federation, Enesi Habib reassured participants that the exercise will be a continuous one and as such no one should get tired of participating.

Since the rapid spread of Corona virus in Nigeria, sporting activities have been put on hold.
