Massive rave reviews are trailing after fast-rising Nigerian-born heavyweight boxer, Moses Itauma, following his amazing advent into the global scene with two huge victories in the outgoing year.
Sports247 reports that Itauma, who was recently ranked number eight on the global heavyweight charts by popular boxing magazine, The Ring, has been tipped to create an even bigger impact in 2026.

This verdict was passed by ‘Uncrowned’ boxing columnist, Lewis Watson, who named England-based Itauma alongside Abdullah Mason as the major breakout pugilists of the year in review.
Watson wrote in part: “Itauma, 20, and Mason, 21, dominated Uncrowned’s voting to be named joint Breakthrough Boxers of the Year for 2025, combining for a flawless 6-0 record across the past 12 months, with five of those wins coming inside the distance.
“While Itauma continued to cement his reputation as one of the most dangerous emerging forces in the heavyweight division, Mason etched his name into the history books by becoming the youngest current male world champion in boxing.
“Quick knockouts of Mike Balogun and Dillian Whyte meant Itauma (13-0, 11 KOs) spent a combined total of just three rounds in the ring in 2025, underlining his dominance over two seasoned heavyweight operators.
“Long heralded as the next big thing in the division, the English southpaw took tangible steps toward world title contention next year, firmly inserting himself into conversations about championship opportunities in 2026.”
