Speaking to Sports247, Coach Adeyemi described the Federal Government’s recent redemption of its housing pledge to the Super Eagles as a powerful statement of integrity and commitment to sports development.

According to swiss based coach, the gesture sends a clear message to the players that their sacrifices are recognised and rewarded.

“The government redeeming their housing pledge to the Super Eagles shows we have a sports-loving father who understands the importance of keeping his word,” Adeyemi said.

“It is a big motivation factor for the team to do more because they now know they have a government that will always stand by its promises.”

Turning his attention to the upcoming encounter with Tanzania, the coach stressed that Nigeria’s success will depend less on reputation and more on discipline, teamwork and focus.

Adeyemi warned against over-reliance on individual brilliance, urging the players to embrace collective responsibility on the pitch.

“What the Super Eagles must do differently is to play as a team,” he explained.

“They should leave individual glory aside, fight for one another, stay united and take their chances when they come. If they do this, it will be easier for them to defeat the Taifa Stars.”

While acknowledging Nigeria’s superior head-to-head record and depth of talent, the coach cautioned against complacency, noting that African football has evolved and no team should be underestimated.

“They must stay focused throughout the entire duration of the game and not underrate Tanzania,” Adeyemi added.

“Yes, Nigeria has better players on paper, but football is played on the pitch. If the Super Eagles remain disciplined, focused and committed as a unit, Nigeria will carry the day.”

With renewed motivation off the pitch and a clear tactical message ahead of the Tanzania showdown, expectations remain high that the Super Eagles should rise to the occasion and deliver a commanding performance.
