In a tightly contested encounter, Nigeria struggled to find rhythm in the final third and failed to register a single shot on target throughout the match.

The Super Falcons showed discipline in their defensive shape for large periods but lacked creativity and penetration in attack, allowing the game to drift toward a stalemate.

However, Cameroon found the breakthrough in the 90th minute through Mbomezomo Yvana, whose late strike sealed victory for the Indomitable Lionesses in front of their home supporters.

The result leaves Nigeria with work to do ahead of the second leg on home soil. The Super Falcons will need a much-improved attacking display and sharper execution in the final third if they are to overturn the deficit and avoid back-to-back defeats against their Central African rivals.

The return leg now presents an opportunity for Nigeria to respond, restore confidence, and fine-tune preparations as they continue their build-up for upcoming international competitions.
