Nigeria Police Games: Team assesses games facilities in Anambra

A team of Police officers from the Force Headquarters, Abuja, are in Anambra on a two-day inspection of facilities ahead of the National Police Games, tentatively scheduled to hold in March.

The team led by AIG Alkali Usman, Secretary, Force Sports Planning Committee, also met with the Local Organising Committee chaired by John Abang, Commissioner of Police in Anambra on the level of preparations.

Haruna Mohammed, Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra, said the visit followed the approval of Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu that the games be held in Anambra.

The visit was to review final arrangements for the Police Games scheduled to hold tentatively in the first quarter of the year 2020 in Anambra.

“We also visited the venues where the sporting events will hold in order to ascertain levels of preparedness for the games regarding facilities, and to determine progress of work done so far,” the PPRO said.
