Female tennis prodigy from Ondo State, Sarah Adisa has disclosed that her biggest target is to outshine one of the world’s current top players, Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus.

Adisa made this known during an exclusive interview with Sports247 at the ongoing Niger Delta Games in Benin City, where she also revealed that tennis gives her many positives in life.
The amiable lass said, “Tennis is lovely and friendly. It helps those of us who play it to move forward in life. Playing it makes me happy.”
She also took a look at the level of development that tennis is gaining in Nigeria and reckoned that the racquet sport is growing at a very fast pace.
Adisa posited, “In terms of the development of tennis in Nigeria, I believe it’s okay and everything is smooth. Personally, I really love tennis and I’m happy to be playing it.
“I want to be a world champion and do better than Sabalenka. I started playing tennis in 2020, but I already see myself playing in the grand slam very soon … maybe next year.”
