NIGER DELTA GAMES: Nine-year-old Emmanuel Esseh Targets Swimming Gold For Edo State 

A nine-year-old pupil from Benin City, Iyanu Emmanuel Esseh has set his mind on winning a gold medal in swimming for Edo State at the ongoing 2nd Niger Delta Games.

Esseh also told Sports247 at the swimming pool side on Day 3 of the ongoing multiple sports competition in Benin City that he is happy to be in the host state’s contingent.

He praised God for giving him swimming as a talent and thanked Edo State’s coaches for helping him become a potential chanpion for them and Nigeria as a whole.

Esseh declared, “I love swimming because I want to be a champion. I love swimming and I want to go far with it.

“Swimming is now the only sport that I am in and concentrating on fully. In fact, I want to win a gold medal for Edo State.

“I am just nine years old, but I already know what I want to achieve in life. I want to win many gold medals in swimming. That’s all I want.”
