Ngumoha Must Add Many Other Things To His Talent – Slot

As a whirlwind of accolades continues trailing a mammoth performance this past weekend by Liverpool’s Nigerian-born youngster, Rio Chima Ngumoha, The Reds’ coach, Arne Slot says the lad must add more to his talent.

Sports247 reports that Ngumoha was the name on all lips last Sunday, after he got off Liverpool’s bench with 15 minutes to go and helped the Anfield side eke out a 1-0 win away to Nottingham Forest.

While many fans and pundits keep on hailing Ngumoha, Slot was also pleased with the youngster’s performance, after the whiz-kid went on as a replacement for out of form Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah.

However, the gaffer went on to declare that the Nigerian-born lad has to keep his feet on the throttle and add ‘many other things’ to his game, considering that there is more to football than just natural talent.

“He has incredible potential, otherwise at 17 years of age you don’t play as many minutes as he does in the Premier League. I don’t think there’s any other 17-year-old that has played so many minutes this season.

“He’s making progress more and more; and that’s why lately you see him playing more and as well. He gets stronger. There were also one or two other moments where he showed that he stands his ground.

“For him to show this already at 17 years of age says something about his talent. But, as we all know, talent is only the start of a career and you need so many other things,” Slot submitted.
