NFSC Congratulates Champions Bendel Insurance, State Government On Victory …Celebrates Gunners Supporters Club

Nigeria’s foremost fans group, the Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC), has congratulated Bendel Insurance of Benin, for winning the 2023 NFF/Tingo Federation Cup after defeating multi-titlist Enugu Rangers 1-0 in the keenly contested final match played Wednesday, at Stephen Keshi stadium, Asaba.

In the congratulatory message signed by its National Chairman, Ambassador (Rev). Samuel Ikpea, the club stated that the eventual victory of the Edo Gunners in the competition, is a testimonial of the unrelenting efforts and commitments of the team to make the people of Edo State proud, and of course, repay the unflinching moral and financial supports of the Edo Government to the club.


“This victory at the Federation Cup is a reflection of your hard work as a team, throughout this football season. You’re unrelenting in your quests to bring honours to Edo State. Nigeria Football Supporters Club, says congratulations to you, darling Edo Gunners,” it stated.

“We also say a big congratulations to the government of Edo State led by His Excellency Governor Godwin Obaseki and the Deputy Governor, Comrade Phillip Shuaibu, as well as, the all the good people of the state. Your supports and encouragement to the team was very instrumental to their victory at the federation Cup, after a very long wait of 43 years,” it added.

The message was equally effusive in praises for the members of Bendel Insurance Supporters Club, for their attractive, vibrant and exciting singing and dancing throughout the season.

“As the 12th player on and off the pitch, NFSC, is commends you for your exciting and morale lifting supports for the team. We also say, congratulations to you. You’ve done well throughout the season,” it concluded.

Edo Gunner went home with the sum of 15 million naira (Fifteen Million Naira Only) while Rangers International got the sum of Seven Million and Five Hundred Thousand Naira Only.
