The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced a new date for its forthcoming Extraordinary General Assembly (EGA).

In a circular issued to delegates, including State Football Associations, leagues, and the coaches’, referees’ and players’ associations, the NFF confirmed that the Extra-Ordinary General Assembly initially fixed for February 14, 2026, has been postponed.
The notice, released on the directive of the NFF Executive Committee and signed by the General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, MON, stated that the congress will now hold on Monday, March 23, 2026.
The venue remains Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, with proceedings scheduled to begin at 10:00am.
The federation has advised all accredited delegates and stakeholders to note the revised date and adjust their arrangements accordingly.
The Extraordinary General Assembly is expected to convene major stakeholders in Nigerian football to deliberate on critical issues concerning the governance and growth of the sport in the country.
