Ndidi Resumes Partial Training At Leicester, Could Return To Squad Next Week

Ahead of their clash with Queens Park Rangers, Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca has provided an injury update on Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Onyinye Ndidi.

The Italian manager has stated that the Nigeria international is a very important member of his squad, and he hopes Ndidi can be fit as soon as possible.

The former Guardiola assistant said;

“Hopefully next week he(Ndidi) can complete the session with us, which means he will start to be available.

Hopefully, we can have Wilf back because, as you know, he is an important player for us.

“That’s why I said if he can be back earlier than three months, it is much better for us.

He is an important player. Now we are trying to find solutions to adapt players but hopefully we can have him back very soon.”

Ndidi has not seen minutes for Leicester City since grabbing an injury late in 2023, but is now on his way to full recovery, possibly before his slated time, to ensure Leicester continue their chase for Premier League football next season.
