Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi marked an emotional return to action with a goal as Beşiktaş recorded a commanding 4–0 home victory over Göztepe in the Turkish Süper Lig.

The midfielder had only just returned from Nigeria after attending his father’s burial, making the moment even more poignant as he found the net in his first start back in the Beşiktaş lineup. It was also Ndidi’s second goal of the season in the league.
Beşiktaş maintained control of the contest and added further goals through Murillo, Nigerian-born Junior Olaitan, and Hyeon-gyu Oh in the 36th, 59th, and 74th minutes respectively to complete a convincing victory in front of their home supporters.
