Ndidi, Iheanacho To Welcome Nigerian-born USA Kid

Leicester City of England duo, Wilfred Onyinyen Ndidi and Keelchi Iheanacho are set to welcome another Nigerian-born lad at their club, as The Foxes are the hunt for USA youth goalkeeper, Chituru Odunze.

However, sport247.ng gathered that it is not an open-shut transfer deal that has put Udenze on the cards for linking up with Ndidi and Iheanacho, as he must first pass trials at King Power Stadium.

Udenze is now set meet Ndidi and Iheanacho, after he was allowed leave of absence by his current club, Vancouver Whitecaps, which confirmed that the young keeper will begin a two-week trial at Leicester on Monday.

The 16-year-old, who is on the cards of Whitecaps’ under-23 squad, grew up in London, where he was born in 2002, but his official home town is the Canadian city of Calgary, Alberta.

Odunze had also initially spent three years in the academies of Chelsea, Cardiff City and West Ham United.
The 6-foot-6 keeper originally arrived at Vancouver from Calgary Foothills FC, after previous stints with Calgary Blizzard and Calgary Villains.

He made his debut in the Canadian youth national team program at a U-15 identification camp in 2017, under the guidance of renowned age-grade coach, Rob Gale
