The Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) has officially unveiled the trophies and medals for the upcoming National U-17 Boys and Girls Championship scheduled to take place in Abuja.
The youth championship will be held from March 10 to March 15, 2026, at the NCF Oval, Package B of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in the Federal Capital Territory.

According to the federation, the trophies are proudly sponsored by the PETS Foundation, adding prestige to a tournament designed to showcase Nigeria’s next generation of cricket stars.
The competition will feature teams representing the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria — North-West, North-East, North-Central, South-West, South-South and South-East — with both boys and girls categories competing for national honours.
The NCF stated that the championship is part of its broader grassroots development programme aimed at nurturing young talents and strengthening the future of cricket in the country.
“With the trophies ready and the stage set in Abuja, Nigeria’s brightest young cricketers will converge in the nation’s capital where dreams begin and champions are born,” the federation noted.
At the end of the week-long tournament, only one team in each category will emerge victorious and write their names into the history books of Nigerian cricket.
The National U-17 Championship is widely regarded as a key pathway for identifying players who could eventually represent Nigeria at international youth and senior levels.
