According to the statement, the compulsory registration exercise is designed to support the proper upgrading and standardization of coaching practice, ensure accurate grading of coaches, and promote fair allocation of benefits and opportunities within the federation.

“All registered boxing coaches in Nigeria are required to complete the online registration by submitting their personal details and professional qualifications within the shortest possible time,” the statement read.

The registration process will enable the NBF to:

Properly grade and classify boxing coaches nationwide
Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date national database of coaches

Appropriately allocate grading, benefits, and professional opportunities to coaches.

The federation further warned that compliance with the directive is compulsory, stressing that only registered and graded coaches will be eligible for future NBF programs, certifications, and related opportunities.

Mrs. Azimene thanked all coaches for their cooperation and support as the federation continues its drive to strengthen and professionalize boxing coaching in Nigeria.
