Milwaukee Bucks of USA star, Giannis Antetokounmpo (Adetokunbo) is in conflict with the National Basketball Association (NBA) outfit regarding his fitness level and physical readiness for game time, Sports247 reports.

The Nigerian-born Greece international has appeared in only 36 games this season, but has not featured for the team since March 15, because The Bucks believe he has not fully recovered from a left knee hyperextension and bone bruise.
Since then, ‘The Greek Freak’ has been in a stand-off with the club over his health status, as The Bucks insist he should spend more time out to fully recover, but the former NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) believes he is capable of playing.
The controversy took a heated turn on Friday, as Antetokounmpo opened up ahead of The Bucks’ clash with Boston Celtics, insisting he is healthy enough to play, then questioned their responses to recent transfer interest coming his way.
Antetokounmpo blurted angrily “You know who you are dealing with. So, for somebody to come and tell me to not play or not to compete, it’s like a slap in my face. I don’t know where the relationship goes from there.
“I’m available to play today. Right now. I’m available. Do I look like I’m not available? I’ve never seen a case of a player saying, my caliber of player, that’s like I’m saying it publicly – I want to play. You know what I’m saying?”
Soon after Antetokounmpo’s outburst, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that the NBA is investigating The Bucks for their handling of the player’s participation status, likely transfer and potential inconsistent statements about his health.
Antetokounmpo, who alleged that The Bucks ghosted him when he rebuffed their approach about shutting him down for the season, responded, “If there needs to be an investigation, great. There should be. Until we figure something out.”
