His current shaky status with The Bucks has now opened up transfer speculations for the giant star, whose original surname was Adetokunbo.
A report by ESPN revealed that Antetokounmpo and The Bucks are in discussions about what the future holds, especially as they do not look like championship contenders.
The report adds: “Antetokounmpo, who turns 31 on Saturday, is having another elite season, posting 30.6 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 6.4 assists, while converting on 63.9% of his shot attempts.
“A nine-time All-Star and two-time NBA MVP, Antetokounmpo is a franchise icon and led the Bucks to their second NBA championship in 2021.
“(Milwaukee are now considering) sending Antetokounmpo to another franchise where he could compete for a championship title.
“While the Bucks could trade Antetokounmpo ahead of the February 5 deadline, more options should be available to them if they wait until the offseason.”
