National Sports Festival 2018: FCT sports administrators not serious about development – Kaoje

Following the crisis rocking the camp of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the on-going 19th edition of the national sports festival and their absence on the medals table, former minister of sports Bala Kaoje has stated that the FCT administration is not serious about sports development.

Kaoje in an exclusive chat with Sports247.ng has stated that the nation’s capital if not it has all the resources to dominate events at the national sports festival because of the presence of different ethnic nationalities staying in the FCT and the available facilities readily available for athletes.

States such as Delta, Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Akwa Ibom have been known to be actively involved in the development of athletes and Kaoje believes that if those states can do it, then the FCT should as well.

Kaoje added that, the lackadaisical attitude of the current administration in the FCT towards sports must change for the state to be able to compete with other states.
