Director-general of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Honourable Bukola Olopade has added his voice to comments heralding this year’s Para-Games, scheduled to commence this Saturday in Abuja.

Sports247 reports that Olopade tagged it as another platform for celebrating courage and breaking barriers, as it is expected to bring together many athletes with disabilities to compete in a wide range of sporting events.
A statement from the organizing committee also described the festival, which will be declaredDirector-general of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Honourable Bukola Olopade has added his voice to comments heralding this year’s Para-Games, avenue for showcasing resilience, talent and the unifying power of sports.
Olopade, who is also expected to be among many other dignitaries at the opening ceremony on Saturday, said: “The event is about celebrating courage, breaking barriers, and inspiring a new generation of athletes.
“The National Para Sports Festival serves as a critical platform for talent discovery, athlete development, and preparation for international competitions, including qualifiers for events sanctioned by International Paralympic Committee.”
Sports247 gathered further that the Para-Games, which aligns with Nigeria’s effort at promoting inclusivity, equal opportunity and social integration through sports, will feature special events that cut across multiple disciplines.
