Nasarawa’s Abdullahi Muhammad Set For Oman Move, Dreams of FIFA Club World Cup Appearance

Rising football talent Abdullahi Muhammad is set to complete a move from Club Wan Agara FC of Nasarawa to Al-Khaburah FC of Oman, in what will be his first professional contract outside Nigeria.

Sources close to the deal confirmed that the transfer is in its final stages, with the winger expected to travel to Oman in the coming days once all paperwork and approvals are finalized.

Abdullahi, who plays as a left winger, has earned a reputation in local competitions for his pace, dribbling skills, and creativity in the final third. His coaches at Wan Agara FC say he has consistently stood out among his peers with his commitment and hunger to succeed.

Speaking about the potential move, Abdullahi expressed hope that this opportunity will be the start of something much bigger.

“This move means a lot to me,” he said. “I want to work hard and improve, so I can play at the highest level. One day, I want to represent Nigeria and feature in the FIFA Club World Cup. But every journey begins with a step—and this is mine.”

The FIFA Club World Cup, which will expand to 32 teams in 2025, has already seen several Nigerian players qualify with clubs like Al Ain, FC Porto, and Espérance de Tunis. Abdullahi says these examples have inspired him to believe he too can reach that stage.

Coaches and supporters at Wan Agara FC have expressed pride in his development and wished him success abroad.

Abdullahi Muhammad is expected to sign officially with Al-Khaburah FC and begin training with the Omani side before the new season kicks off.

His journey from Nasarawa’s local pitches to international football may just be beginning.
