Nasarawa United to face Greater Height FC in FA Cup final

Nasarawa State Aiteo Cup defending Champions Nasarawa United qualifies for the 2018/2019 Aiteo Cup final at the expense of Lafia based Greater Tomorrow FC of Lafia.

 

Much was expected from a Greater Tomorrow side against their more illustrious opponents but it was former player that set the ball rolling in the 5th when Dauda Maigishiri’s left footed volly found the back of the net in the 5 minutes.

Greater Tomorrow came all out and frustrated the Solid miners for a larger period of the game and the 2018 Aiteo semi finalist were unable to add to their tally as Nasarawa United went into the dressing room with a slender lead.

On resumption Charles Osemeka made it two after he benefitted from a goal mouth scrabble to powerfully directed a rightfooted shot on goal.

As the game was heading into full time right back Abubakar Abdullahi scored what would arguably be a contender for the goal of the tournament.

The young right back go the ball from his yard, took on 5 players before blasting in the third goal as the Solid Miners will have to contend with NNL side Aklosendi Intl FC in the final for the crown.
