Nasarawa State Government Announces Five-man Management for Nasarawa United FC

The Nasarawa State Government has announced new Management Members for the State-owned Men’s Football Club, Nasarawa United.

In a release letter signed by the Office of the Secretary to the State Government on Tuesday, 17th October 2023, Dr. Othman Ibrahim Ahmed will serve as the Club’s new Chairman.

Solomon Babanjah retains his position as Team Manager, as well as Idris Rilwan, maintains his position as a Member.

Former Nasarawa United players, Musa Adamu, and Musa Usman Oruma were also appointed as members of the new five-man Management Committee.

The development, according to the release, was in furtherance of the Governor Abdullahi Sule-led administration’s commitment to rejig the Club to regain its rightful place in the top-flight football league in Nigeria.

Their appointment takes immediate effect.

Nasarawa United will be participating in the 2023/24 Nigeria National League, NNL, which commences on 28th October 2023, and is optimistic of making an immediate return to the elite, after being relegated last season from the Nigeria Premier Football League.
