Nasarawa State FA Chairman Salisu Usman Galadima Splashes Generous Cash Prizes On Mailafia Peace, Unity Cup Finalists

Alhaji Salisu Usman Galadima, Chairman of Nasarawa State Football Association, Commends Tournament's Success and Pledges Ongoing Support

In a grand finale to the 2023 Mailafia Peace And Unity Cup, Nasarawa State Football Association Chairman Alhaji Salisu Usman Galadima demonstrated his commitment to grassroots football by awarding a substantial sum of N250,000 to the top four teams.

Thunder FC emerged victorious, securing not only the championship trophy but also a significant cash prize of 700,000 naira.

Galadima, also known as the Dan Iyan of Kwandere, expressed his pleasure with the teams’ performances during the tournament’s closing ceremony.

He extended his heartfelt congratulations to all participating teams, emphasizing their commendable efforts.

The Nasarawa State FA Chairman took the occasion to announce his continued support for the Mailafia Peace And Unity Cup.

Thunder FC, the tournament champions from Agyaragu, received a handsome reward of 100,000 naira, while Keana Selected, Giant Killers FC (Agyaragu), and Fulafia FC each received 50,000 naira.

Addressing the media, Chairman Galadima applauded ACP Yakubu Mailafia Agabi, the tournament organizer, for orchestrating an event of such magnitude.

Galadima pledged unwavering support from the Nasarawa State Football Association, promising to keep his doors open for any challenges the organizers might encounter.

Thunder FC’s triumph was sealed with a 1-0 victory over Keana Selected, thanks to Peter Sunday’s decisive goal.

In the losers’ final, Giant Killers FC secured a convincing 3-0 win against Fulafia FC, earning them a cash prize of 300,000 naira.

As the Mailafia Peace And Unity Cup concluded, the tournament not only celebrated the prowess of local football talent but also showcased the strong support and commitment of the Nasarawa State Football Association and its Chairman, Alhaji Salisu Usman Galadima.
