Nasarawa State FA Chairman, Alhaji Salisu Galadima, Confident Super Eagles Will Excel in CAF Africa Cup Of Nations

Galadima Backs Nigeria to Reach Semis and Clinch Victory, Citing Squad Strength and Emergence of Victor Osimhen

Alhaji Salisu Galadima, the Chairman of Nasarawa State Football Association, has expressed unwavering support for the Super Eagles of Nigeria as they gear up for the 34th edition of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup Of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.

In a press session, Galadima shared his optimism, saying, “We have the squad to go all the way, and the emergence of Victor Osimhen as the King of African football will further make any opposition tread with care against us as we house some of the prolific attackers in Africa.”

Despite the acknowledgement of strong contenders like Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, and Senegal, Galadima dismissed them as favourites, asserting that the Super Eagles are no pushovers. He firmly believes that the team will prove him right by advancing to the finals.

“I have read on different tabloids that the likes of Algeria, Morocco, Egypt and Senegal are favourites but I can only but pity those because the Super Eagles are no pushovers. They will prove me right by going all the way to the finals,” he concluded.

Nigeria, three-time winners of the prestigious tournament, finds themselves in Group D alongside the host Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau.

Galadima’s confidence in the squad’s capabilities aligns with the anticipation and excitement surrounding the Super Eagles’ journey in the upcoming competition.

Football enthusiasts eagerly await to see if Nigeria can add another title to their impressive CAF Africa Cup Of Nations history.
