NASARAWA AMAZONS DENY SALE OF ANAM IMO AND AMARACHI OKONKWO

Nigeria Women Premier League Side Nasarawa Amazons has denied the sale of Super Falcons duo of Amarachi Okoronkwo and Anam Imo to Hungaria n side Ferencvarios Torna.

 

The Club Management on Thursday rebuffed media reports that their players has signed for Ferencvarios Torna claiming that till now the Hungarian side hasn’t contacted them concerning the two players.

 

Two weeks ago, reports emerged that the duo of Amarachi Okonkwo and Anam Imo had signed for Hungarian topflight side Ferencvarios Tornan in a fraudulent deal.

 

Nasarawa Amazons has since refuted the claims saying that the players are still bonafide members of the Lafia based side and are qualified to play for them at the Super 4 Competition which is going to start in Lagos tomorrow.

The Club further disclosed that the purported Hungary move was done behind the back of their parent club and thus is fraudulent and doesn’t exist.

We also wish to let the general public know that the deal is fraudulent and is not backed up by the transfer ethics of FIFA which says that:~“`

302: _A transfer becomes effective as soon as it is approved by the appropriate authority, unless it is being contested at a lower level than Central Council_ .

_Where it is being contested, the contesting party must lodge an appeal as per Rules 298 to 303 as appropriate, or before the player is due to play her first competitive game.
