Kevin Kingsley of South West scored the winning goal against South East in the semi-final match which ended 1-0 from a penalty shootout after the match ended at full-time with no goals from both teams.
In an interview with Sports247.ng, Kingsley said he was not satisfied with how the match unfolded but was grateful that his team prevailed. The team anticipated scoring an early goal in the first half as they had an advantage over South East FC, however, the goal did not materialize until very late.
When queried regarding the shortfall in expectations, Kingsley stated, ” I cannot fathom how everything transpired as it did. I am unhappy with what we exhibited altogether, yet we still won”.
He affirmed that they will emerge victorious in the final match of the competition.
