Technical Director of Dannaz F.C, Coach Akande Fatai said his players ‘ displayed lots of positivities ‘ after thrashing Vinning F.C 3-1 in their first match in the 2022 NLO division two game played at the Sagamu Centre.
Three first-half goals by Udezi Savio, Emmanuel Precious, Obi Ifeanyi were enough to hand Dannaz the maximum three points at the FC Ebedei Stadium while a second-=half consolidation goal for Vinning FC was scored by Adeleye Bolaji.
Speaking to Sports247 after the match, Coach Fatai said the win will serve as a booster for his players going further into the league.
“Basically the victory means a lot, implies a very good start with lots of positive mindset from the guys.
I tried as much as possible to add qualities to the team and I also tried as much as possible to approach the way we want to play to be able to achieve our goal like I said.
And basically, the goal is to take all matches one at a time and try our best to gain promotion to the NLO one. It is a very tough one because they are playing against a very decent side like Vinning but we are thankful that we were able to achieve the 60% to 65% of what we wanted to do and we were able to take some of the few chances we created and we were able to defend very well.”
He went further to add that his sole ambition for the team is to promote them into NLO division one at the end of the season.
“So basically what we want to do is just to make sure that we get the sole ticket to promote by the special grace of God and keep improving the lads in becoming better players.”
