Musa Leads Eagles’ Battle Cry Against Bafana Bafana

As the countdown gets hotter and tighter towards Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Nigeria and South Africa, players and crew of the Super Eagles are blowing hot for another away victory.

The Eagles charge for victory at FNB Stadium, Johannesburg is being led by their stand-in captain, Ahmed Musa, who is joined by his former colleague at Leicester City of England, Kelechi Iheanacho in voicing their targets and hopes from the much-talked about game at Soccer City.

Musa and Iheanacho are joined by new invitee, Samuel Chukwueze and the team’s technical adviser, Gernot Rohr, as they all spoke about the tie during a radio sports programme monitored by sports247.ng.

Leading the way, Musa said the squad is thinking only of victory, as he acknowledged they have to overturn a 2-0 loss against the same side in the first leg played in Uyo.

“We have to win this match, because of what they did to us in the first leg. We are not going there to lose,” Musa said curtly.

Similarly, Iheanacho expressed a strong hope for victory on Saturday and added that he would love to be a part of getting the job done for Nigeria on the field of play.

“I think it will be a good game for us, I also think I will play, if the coach says so. It depends on what the coach wants, but I really do want to be a part of this match on the field,” Iheanacho confessed.

New rave of the moment, Chukwueze added his thoughts about getting his debut from Saturday’s encounter in The Rainbow Nation, and noted that it would be a huge way to start his Nigeria senior career.

“I am happy with the atmosphere I am seeing in my first time together with the Super Eagles. I am looking forward to Saturday’s match.

“I promise to give my best if I am called upon to play,” the Villarreal of Spain kid interjected.

Last to speak, coach of the side, Rohr said he plans to put out a strong and well-organised side that would be able to hold their own with lots of fighting spirit and tactical balance, that would help them carry the day.

“We want to be determined, well-organised and plan well for a win. We will have to concentrate fully and stay focused till the end.

“We intend to play with zeal and strength, so that we will get the result we desire and what we deserve,” the Franco-German gaffer submitted.
